How Do I Qualify for help from the food pantry?Residency: You must be a resident of the areas we serve. Need: Our services are intended for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity or financial hardship. Intake Process: Visit our website or contact us to fill out an intake form, providing basic information about your household. No Strict Income Requirements: We aim to assist anyone in need, ensuring access to nutritious food without stringent financial criteria.

What documentation do I need to bring when I visit?Proof of Residency: A recent utility bill, lease agreement, or similar document showing your current address. Photo ID: A government-issued identification card, such as a driver's license or passport, for identity verification. Intake Form: If you have not already completed an intake form online or over the phone, you may be asked to fill one out during your visit. ***Each time you visit. please remember to bring your shopping card.***

What types of food items are available at the food pantry?We are stocked with a variety of food items to meet the diverse needs of our community. Typically, you can find fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, meats, canned goods, dry goods like pasta and rice, and occasionally, bakery items and snacks. Our selection varies based on availability and donations, but we strive to provide nutritious options to support a balanced diet.

How often can I visit the pantry for assistance?Each visitor is assigned a specific time to shop at the pantry on a weekly basis. Please make sure to arrive on your designated day and approximately 5-10 minutes before your scheduled shopping time.

What are the operating hours and location of the food pantry?Pantry Hours: Monday: Intake day from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (no food distribution) Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (appointment needed) Wednesday: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (appointment needed) Thursday: 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM (appointment needed) Location: 3160 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT Please ensure you have an appointment for food distribution days and arrive on time for your scheduled visit.
